Am terminat cartea și m-am trezit că încerc să-mi imaginez cum aș putea eu, un simplu muritor, să jonglez cu șapte căsnicii și secrete de la Hollywood. Evelyn e o maestră a manipulării și-a transparenței, un paradox care mă fascinează și mă sperie deopotrivă. Povestea ei m-a făcut să mă întreb cât adevăr suntem dispuși să plătim pentru faimă.

Ce idee genială să alegi o jurnalistă obscură ca narator secundar! Monique e oglinda noastră: nevoia de validare, frica de insignifianță. Am simțit cum cartea mușcă din orgoliul meu literar și mi-a plăcut asta.
